Testimonials

"We absolutely love Kingka! We play it everyday – at the students' request. It’s amazing how quickly they are learning the words and characters. It fits in well with the Montessori hands-on approach to learning! Thanks so much!" Barbara Altbrandt, Emerging Minds Montessori Academy, Boca Raton, FL

"Many people have the idea that learning Chinese is hard. But with Kingka, learning Chinese is fun. Players begin with familiar words -- colors, numbers, objects -- and familiar games -- memory, bingo, tic-tac-toe -- and without even knowing it start building their knowledge of Chinese. Because of the different levels and variations there is always a new way to play or be challenged so players never get bored. It is a wonderful way for families to learn together." Rachel Farkas, Asia Program Educator, Boston Children’s Museum, Boston, MA

"I recently played Kingka with my children and we all adored it. The cards are good quality, thick and curvy, easy for children to handle and are going to last for a long time. Each card is very appealing due to the single Mandarin character on one side and the clear images on the other. It was great that there are different ways to play the game, increasing in difficulty, so you build up your knowledge of the characters gradually. Up until now, my children had only been able to memorise the pinyin sounds of characters, so this is the first time we've found a way to help them learn the actual pictographic characters. It really does work and my children, especially the eight-year-old, quickly learnt around 10 characters from just a few games. My daughter then decided to play the game by herself, and enjoyed matching up the characters to the pictures. All in all we are extremely happy with our Kingka purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to learn Mandarin characters, whether child or adult!" Mrs. Omma Adjei, London, UK

"I hope you are working on more sets! My children (ages 4 & 5) are currently working on set 2. I ordered set 3. We are also working on your combo word cards from set 1. These games are just the perfect way to learn Chinese! My kids love them! So, I hope you are working on more sets! Thanks." Tammy U. Lee, Teacher, Morton Grove, IL

"I have purchased one for my daughter for Christmas and we both enjoy playing the game and the quality is excellent. I have shown it to our language school and many parents were very impressed with your quality and variety of levels of the game." Elizabeth Blankenship, Knoxville, TN

"My daughter and I can play Kingka together and have fun, even though we are at different levels. My daughter is more advanced, yet she still learns while I take my 'babysteps' toward Chinese fluency. The way the game accommodates different levels is quite clever. I think it's a great way to help parents who do not know Chinese to teach their children Chinese." Teresa Austin, Tenafly, NJ

"I have been looking for something fun to teach my young children Chinese and yet couldn't find anything until someone introduced Kingka to me. I really think this game is awesome and has such entertaining and educational value." Shirley Chao, Beverly Hills, CA

"From the first time I played Kingka, I liked how the game associated the Chinese words with the corresponding characters. Kingka presents an easy method for learning both the written and verbal language that is challenging and fun for children and adults. Thank you for creating such an approachable way to learn Mandarin!" Stacy Bonner, Jacksonville, FL

"Before the holidays I purchased your Chinese learning game for our family's use at home. Our daughter very much enjoys it. We have recommended it to several of our friends at Chinese school too." Danielle Gallagher, Long Island, NY

"Kingka is an excellent way for Chinese language learner to gain literary knowledge and confidence through visual and physical responses. It is suitable for all age groups. My six grade students (aged 10-13) in heritage school enjoy playing with Kingka. My six year old daughter keeps asking for more rounds while playing this game. I recommand Kingka to all students and educators." Tracy Syz, Hua Xia Bergen Chinese School, NJ

"Kingka is a great game, it not only combines both matching and memory games, but also introduces 54 beginner level Chinese characters. Most importantly, it’s fun to play and learn Chinese at the same time. Besides the above, it also has different ways to play so that players with differences in age and Chinese literacy can play together. Children at a young age all have great potential. This is a game that is not only fun, but offers a chance to learn some Chinese characters while playing. I truly believe that anyone 3 years+ will enjoy the game. Looking forward to Kingka 2, 3, 4, 5……for my children." Shi-Ru Lin, Pre-K Chinese and Piano Teacher, Teaneck, NJ

"I thought the product was simply wonderful. Thank you for creating such a wonderful game." Arlene Jackson, Director of International Education, American Association of State Colleges and Universities, Washington DC.
